Truck Rack Warranty information
Limited Lifetime Warranty:
ELS Custom Shop (hereinafter ELS) warrants to the original owner that his/her Steel Truck Rack will be free from defects in craftsmanship and material for a period of his/her lifetime. The warranty period begins the day of purchase by the original end user. Warranty claims must be accompanied by a copy of the original purchase receipt.
If any of our Truck Racks prove to be defective in craftsmanship and/or materials, under normal use, and the item is returned to ELS in Fairview, TN, and ELS in its sole discretion finds that the item was defective, the item will be repaired to a functional state or replaced, at ELS’s discretion. Any items replaced during the warranty process will become the property of ELS. All transportation costs associated with the claim will be the sole responsibility of the purchaser unless otherwise noted below, and will in no way be a part of the manufacturer’s warranty. ELS reserves the right to have the item repaired in the field by an ELS approved repair facility. Non-factory repairs are not included under this warranty unless they are approved by ELS, in writing, prior to repair.
Products, Time Periods and Claims:
Set out herein is a summary of the Warranty currently applicable to ELS Products: ELS products are designed to assist in securing cargo on pickup trucks. ELS has no control over how its products are used and, therefore, its warranty is limited to the materials and workmanship used in the manufacturing of its products.
Exclusions:
This warranty does not cover: (a) normal wear and tear (b) a Truck Rack that has been altered, modified or neglected (c) a Rack that has had a transfer of ownership from the original purchaser (d) a Rack involved in an accident of any kind (e) a Rack exposed to severe off road use where the Rack experienced excessive twisting (f) any damage from exposure to chemicals (g) damage from improper installation (h) damage caused by an Act of God (i) damage from salt, sand, road debris and weathering.
One Year Limitations:
The following items are excluded from the Limited Lifetime Warranty and are covered for a period of One Year, subject to the Exclusions herein: (a) Lights and wiring. (b) Installation components (c) associated hardware and accessories.
Three Year Limitation:
Powder coated paint finishes are excluded from the Limited Lifetime Warranty and are covered for a period of Three Years, subject to the Exclusions herein.
Other Limitations:
In no event shall ELS be liable to any or all of the Customer, purchaser(s) or user(s) for any reason(s) whatsoever, whether in contract, tort (including without limitation negligence and strict liability) or otherwise, regardless whether ELS is, was or has been advised of the possibility thereof, for any or all of the following, whether actual or alleged: (a) labor, transportation and other charges and (b) indirect, consequential, incidental, special and punitive damages, loss and expense (including without limitation lost profits).
How to place a claim:
If you experience issues that you believe are subject to the warranty, take the following steps:
For Purchases made on the elsnashville.com website:
Email a photo of the problem to info@elsnashville.com
Follow up with a phone call (615-266-5236) to ELS’s warranty department.
ELS will determine if it’s a warrantable issue.
If warrantable, ELS will issue a call tag for pick up.
ELS will repair or ship a new rack on receipt of the defective rack.
For Purchases made through an authorized ELS Dealer:
Visit your dealer for a product inspection.
Dealer will email photos of problem to info@elsnashville.com
Follow up with a phone call (615-266-5236) to ELS’s warranty department.
ELS will determine if it’s a warrantable issue.
If warrantable, ELS will issue a RGA to the source distributor.
Dealer will return the rack to source distributor for pickup by ELS on ELS’s next shipment to distributor.
ELS will repair or ship a new rack to Dealer on receipt of the defective rack.
Other:
ELS does not authorize anyone to issue any further, oral or written, warranty other than the express warranty defined herein. Any implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for purpose is limited to the warranty period of five (5) years. Some states do not allow limitations on the term of implied warranties or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so some limitations may not apply to you. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
